Another sad day with the loss of Steve Irwin, Croc Hunter from Australia. He was struck in the heart by a Stingray and apparently died instantly. He was 44 yrs old. So sad. I always thought he was crazy, in a good way, but way over the top. But I did like him.

Oh my God. I can't believe this. I was just watching the news and they had nothing on this...nothing! The world lost a great man today. So sad..

I heard about it mid-morning. Yahoo news has an article that gives the particulars.

This is just so sad. My condolences to his wife and two children. He was such a great man, and did so much to educate people about animals. I enjoyed his shows immensely. He will be greatly missed.

Yes, I will miss him, too. What a loss.

Not trying to step on anyone's faith/spiritual beliefs, but here's a short prayer that I've found to be very appropriate at times like this:
Rest eternal grant unto him, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
