Hey everybody. I used to watch Iron Chef a long time ago when it aired in Japanese on my local Asian TV station. I lost contact with it when Food Network bought it, because we didn't get Food Network at my house until recently. I enjoyed it for a while, until Iron Chef America started and Iron Chef was eventually moved to the graveyard shift... Now thanks to the internet I have been able to rediscover the series, and see episodes that I have never seen before. I also found this place, and it's cool to know that there are a lot of other fans out there. So anyway, I have a few questions. 1) Has Food Network officially given up on the series yet? All signs seem to point this way, but I was just curious if anything has been said. 2) Are we allowed to talk about online sources for Iron Chef episodes? Not necessarily linking to them, but just discussing them? If not, please disregard my next questions. 3) Does digitaldistractions have all of the Iron Chef episodes that were dubbed in English? 4) Are there any sources of Iron Chef episodes that were never dubbed into English, online or otherwise? Thanks everybody.

Greetings RyoOhki! It's always great to meet another fan. To answer your questions:
1) Food Network claims that they haven't given up on Iron Chef, and have repeatedly promised to return it to another time slot. Every time they promise this, however, the proposed date goes by without a timeslot move. So, for now, Iron Chef is stuck at the early morning time slot.
2) Before, I used to say no. But now that Iron Chef is on at such an obscure time, I say... absolutely yes. Please, please yes.
3) Digital Distractions is the only source that I know of that ever "digitalized" Iron Chef episodes. The only other place I've ever seen them would be YouTube.
4) Not online. A few VHS tapes of undubbed Iron Chef episodes were released in the U.S. a number of years ago. Sometimes they pop up on Ebay for dirt cheap, but they are hard to find.
Most Iron Chef episodes available on the internet are torrents. I have zero knowledge of how to use torrents, so I depend on site members and friends to get digital episodes. I always hope someone will put episodes up on a free file hosting site so that we can all download them. Then, once we have them, take the file down and put up another. This would make the entire fandom very, very happy.
Hope that helps!

Hey Man Alive! Thanks for the info. If you need help using torrents I would gladly help you out, they're not too complicated. Also, I would be willing to upload episodes that I have on Megaupload, if that would help you guys. Edit: Well, I decided to test out Megaupload for fun, here's the Giant Lobster Battle. Let me know if this works for you. www.megaupload.com/?d=06ASFXU2

Ooh, fantastic! Most members here haven't seen the France Battles or Iron Chef USA, so if you have either, uploading would be great.
Thanks!

I need an AMS in order to continue. Was that required? I'm confused.

Glad to hear that the download worked! Here's the France Battle Special, by request: www.megaupload.com/?d=ASU5WS6GAnyway, I'd be happy to keep uploading stuff in the future if people want it. I'm not really sure what you mean, IronChefMandy, but maybe you're talking about the three-letter verification code? You have to type that code into the box at the right before it will let you download.

Do you have Iron Chef USA (the first U.S. attempt at Iron Chef)? I've seen it as a torrent before.
Oh, and thanks for the France Battle- I'm downloading it right now.

Sorry, I don't have the original Iron Chef USA at the moment. I've found a torrent of it but there are no seeds right now (basically meaning that nobody is sharing a full copy). Hopefully I'll have it eventually, then I'll upload it.

I'm not really sure what you mean, IronChefMandy, but maybe you're talking about the three-letter verification code? You have to type that code into the box at the right before it will let you download. That's exactly what it is. Call me internet illiterate, if you can call it that. I put in the three letter thing and PRESTO -- I'm now awaiting the download to begin.

Just a caution: you need to have the DivX codec in order to view the Giant Lobster battle properly.
I have to admit, I enjoyed it. First time I ever saw Kobe in action.
I tried downloading the digital distractions stuff but I keep getting error messages.
