AC - did your soup also have nuts in it? We were served a similar soup on Christmas Eve and it was delicious. I was curious when I heard all the different ingredients, but it tasted great.

Steamed buns with minced beef. The kids made it with me. The 4 year old rolled out the dough by himself. I could just burst with pleasure.

There were no nuts in this one. What kind of nuts were used in the soup you enjoyed, HC? I'm thinking salmon for tonight. Arrianna, it looks like the kids are following in your footsteps!

Nope. There were no nuts in this one. What kind of nuts were used in the soup you enjoyed, HC? I don't remember now, but I think it was either peanuts or cashews. The whole soup was blended, so it wasn't as though you could see pieces of anything. I must see if I can get the recipe. Neither hubby nor I are big soup eaters, but this one was very good and would be fantastic comfort food on a cold night.

Probably cashews then. It cooks really soft and could be blended well. If you want to blend peanuts usually you just start with peanut butter.

Sounds like a lot of stew this month. I've been eating Chili myself.

Last night I had dirty rice, from Zatarain's.

Yes, easily.
Curry is on the menu for tonight. My own recipe. My sister requested it.

Thanks for the tip, AC...I'll remember not to try that one.
Hubby just got through eating a grilled cheese sandwich; I'm undecided at the moment on what to have.
