"Today is the first of May, May, May. Today is the first of May!...." I can still hear the words of my Grandmother every May 1st. May already? It seems that this year has been passing by so quickly. With the upcoming heat, I expect to see more BBQ's and summer-like food ahead! Not sure about tonight. I'm guaranteed to get home late... What about you? What's for supper?

The man at the fish counter where I work, told me about a recipe using fresh pineapple, scallops, and bacon.
The pineapple and scallops are skewered then wrapped in bacon and grilled. It sounds very good. I'll try it tonight.

That sounds fabulous, AC.....*drool*......
BTW, how much are scallops going for now? I almost shudder to think what the price must be; the last few times I had fresh scallops, I got them straight from the man who fished them (a friend of hubby's) and paid him $6.00 per pound. And that was quite a few years ago.

For the first time in a very long time, I made beef stroganoff from scratch Saturday night. I'd forgotten how much work it was, but the taste was worth it.
Last night we had roast pork sandwiches to use up some of the leftovers from earlier in the week.
