We took the kids out last night. Bad idea. With the price if dairy and beef going up it was expensive. At least the kids behaved well and actually ate. My youngest had two servings of cantaloupe. Next time I'll just buy a melon and save some money. lol

We're just having an easy dinner - sausagages in brown onion gravy and mashed potatoes

Good luck.
I've got an old favorite in the oven right now - Creamy Cheezy Noodles.

How did the Birayni turn out? We had fresh greens from the garden sauteed in hoisin sauce with teriyaki-ginger roasted chicken and rice.

Arrianna, I've never even heard of Birayni, what is it? How was it?

It went pretty good. The kids loved it.
It a Indian dish with spices, rice, meat (in this case lamb), and yogurt. Kinda like a pilaf. You brown the rice in "butter" before cooking it though which gives it a really nice flavor.

I think I'd like to try making fresh pasta tonight -- I got a pasta-rolling machine a couple of weeks ago and I'd like to give it a shot.

Good luck, ICC. Let us know how it works out.
As for us, we're having pork roast.

Yes, let us know how the pasta worked out. I love using our machine but my kids fight over who gets to turn the rollers. lol

Sounds good, Arri.
I had sausage and peppers over grits tonight. A new recipe.
