I went grocery shopping this morning and discovered something awesome in Walmart grocery dept. Roasted coconut crusted Tilapia. Also another kind, tortilla crusted. I got both and had the coconut ones, two small pieces, for lunch, with cauliflower. The fish, OH MY GOSH! I baked it in the toaster type oven for half an hour. AWESOME. It was soooo good. If you ever see it, you gotta try it.

Onigiri with smoked herring. The kids enjoy making it even if my youngest just slathers it in soysauce and then leaves most of the rice.

Pea soup tonight. A pound of yellow split peas with a smoked pork hock are now in the Crock-Pot, along with chicken stock, carrot, celery, white onion, thyme, Italian parsley and bay leaf.

Man, ICC, you're making me hungry (and I just had dinner!)........I haven't had a bowl of split pea soup in ages. Used to have it regularly when I lived in St. John's. Believe it or not, the cafeteria at my workplace there made a very good pea soup - it was usually Friday's soup of the day.

That sounds good, AC. I've never used lettuce in a soup. In fact, I've never even cooked lettuce. Please post your recipe in the the recipe site, OK?
