We had baked chicken pieces a couple nights this week and burgers another. Hubby's just asked to have pizza tonight, so I guess that's what's on tap. Now all we have to figure out is what toppings and from where.

Winter vegetable soup: leeks, cauliflower and potatoes are simmered together with pinches of ginger and curry powder, then pureed and thickened with grated spiced cheddar cheese. Perfect for a snowy day like today.

I'm keeping things simple tonight -- linguini with aglio e olio (olive oil and garlic) -- maybe a couple of anchovies thrown in.

And pre-Christmas eve, I'm making Klingon bregit lung. (Actually it's stewed tripe with onions, sour cream and lumpfish roe. Over converted rice it's pretty good.)

Beefy bacon pasta for us tonight. The leftovers will probably be lunch tomorrow, since we're invited out for dinner tomorrow evening after church.
