I'm planning on trying one of the recipes from Jamie@Home. Not sure which one yet, which is why I'm bringing the cookbook along for grocery shopping this afternoon.

Tonight, I did a variation on hot-and-sour soup: shredded chicken thigh meat, Chinese mushrooms and wood ear fungus, tofu and julienned bamboo shoots in a broth of chicken stock, seasoned with garlic chili bean sauce and lemon juice and zest, among other things. It worked out pretty well.

Got home a little later than planned, so pork chops were the order of the evening because they were quick to make.

Tonight, I'm planning on fried rice -- I'm breaking in a "pro-grade" butane burner I got at Mitsuwa while I was in NYC.

Tonight -- lamb stew in the slow cooker. The lamb's been dusted with flour, salt, pepper and paprika and then browned in a cast-iron skillet along with ginger, garlic and the usual mire-poix ingredients. A Budweiser de-glazing reduction with beef broth will provide the stewing liquid, and I plan to finish it with peas and portobello mushrooms, to be served over rice.
