Yes!!! ironcheffans.info/wordpress/?p=59I saw some short videos on the Fine Living website. They used different music under the presentation of the dishes. I hope that is the only thing they changed. I also hope there is absolutely no dubbing of the Chairman this time.

FN was probably sick of all of the hate mail they have been getting about this. I don't get Fine Living on my Charter unfortunately, but I'm still glad that it is back on American TV. Now we should push Fuji to allow a DVD release.

Oh wait... I don't get it either.
Oh well, it is still a symbolic victory.

There are a few FN episodes we don't have copies of, so hopefully, this new FL run will help complete our collection of dubbed episodes.

I don't get Fine Living. Man... Someone needs to get me digital cable for my birthday. Or Christmas. What about as an end-of-the-month present for ha-has?

Victory! It's about time. I wonder what changes they will have to make to the show. Do you think they'll add "Japan" to the title or change much of the music? Now I just have to get Fine Living Network, haha.

From the looks of their site, it looks like they are dubbing the show "Fine Living's Iron Chef Japan". Also looks like they won't be showing Nakamura's battles, at least for now. I am very curious to see if the show is going to be re-dubbed by their in-house staff. If so, there is a glimmer of hope that they will be able to purchase new battles from Fuji (fingers crossed)!
We have digital cable so I imagine we have this channel -- you can bet I'll be checking when I get home!

If they are redubbing/editing the episodes in any way, I'm hoping tuthead uploads them to Iron Chef Collection, because it will make the show an entirely new experience. I'm getting really excited about this.

I'm getting really excited about this. I saw your request in the other thread. I don't see any reason we can't put up at least the first week's worth of FL episodes. But I wouldn't expect many changes. Remember, this isn't a new channel picking up the show. Fine Living is a sister channel to Food Network, owned by the same company. (And from what I have seen of their program listings, it looks to be a dumping ground of old FN shows.) I can honestly say that May 5th will be the first time I have ever tuned into their station.

I seen that station. It is a "dumping ground" for the Food Network. That is why I thought it would be the same. I got to remember to watch it when it is on though.

I don't expect the show to be drastically changed, but I am expecting some changes in the background music. Don't forget the "Yomegeru" theme was changed a few years ago because Food Network lost the rights to the "Glory" song. If the dish presentation music is changed on Fine Living's website, it's sadly possible that the rest of the "Backdraft" music may be gone, too.

I was hoping Fine Living would pick up ICJ, since they also carry Wolfgang Puck and Molto Mario.
Very good news indeed, even if they do change the music.
