I noticed that in the chicken battle, (the only Ishinabe battle that was translated (minus the 200th dish special) ) in the starting, it says "Iron Chef Japanese is Koumei Nakamura", does that mean that they translated it, at the same time that they were translating the Nakamura era?

I'm asking if they translated the ishinabe battle, during the period of time, that they were translating the nakamura episodes.

Oh, now I understand. Yes, it was transulated later, as were most of the shows. Even the IC Michiba shows were translated like almost ten years after he was on.

Mickster, what he means is that in the opening "almost a decade ago..." segment, instead of Ishinabe and Michiba, it says Sakai and Nakamura, even though they weren't even in the episode. My guess is they translated that episode when they were translating the Nakamura episodes, and aired it as a special in that timeframe. They probably didn't want to make a special opening for one episode.

Yeah, I don't think they translated the Ishinabe opening.

I wonder why they didn't translate the other Ishinabe episodes?

Is the ishinabe special, called the 200th, or 2000th dish special?

As far as I know, I can assume it's the 2000 Dish Special.

Didn't Kaga say in the first episode of the special, that the worst dish that he had ever tasted, was Morimoto's smoked asparagus, which was smoked so much, that it tasted bitter.
