I look forward to hearing said podcast, but you know I'm a bit biased in my desire ;-)
But yeah, the Filmrise acquisition HOPEFULLY will garnish renewed/new interest. Maybe get someone to talk with Fuji TV to dub those unaired battles. OK...that's a long shot...but I've been dreaming for 20+ years, so why stop now...

I need to look before I leap. Looks like this was already discovered and is covered in another thread. Apologies!

Yessir...at one point, back in the IFO days the #1 poster/fan (even higher than Haivart)...nice to be back! That's a pretty solid stat - I think I may have been in the top 5 at one point. I know that around the time the Mr. Iron Chef 1995 special aired, and especially when Nakamura first showed up on Food Network, I was very active with episode reviews and discussions. Ironfans represents a special nostalgia for me. Although we don't see much activity here (hopefully that will change, with the airings on Pluto and Redbox, and with the new show coming to Netflix), I am forever grateful to ManAlive for keeping this thing alive.

OOPS - I see I specified Netflix in the thread title (force of habit). It's Redbox...

I don't know how new this is - but what appear to be all of the 1998-1999 Food Network dubs of Iron Chef are now available to stream for free on Redbox's online site. The quality looks to be very decent as well. So, if you want to go back and watch the last two seasons in order of airing: www.redbox.com/ondemand-tvshows/iron-chef?queryId=352abeb3610dbd2f

Herringchoker - Rosdaddy hails from the old IronFans Online site, as you and I do. Nice to have another alumni back in the fold.

Welcome back, Rosdaddy. If anyone can get some excitement going again, it's you. My, how I miss the old IronFans days. But ManAlive has done a fantastic job keeping the flame from going out, and I am glad this site is still here.

Well, this is likely the biggest news to drop on this site in a while. I am a little surprised, but pleasantly so.
It's a bit vague if they're bringing every episode from "all 7 seasons," but if they are, I assume they will broadcast them as subtitled versions of the original broadcast. Were ALL of the original episodes subbed when they were shown on the west coast?
Getting the dubbed episodes would likely require negotiations with Food Network, though I guess in the end Fuji can hand those over alone if they chose.
Still, this inevitably leads to other questions - namely, will all the specials be included?
I eagerly await updates. neoblisseyx - thanks for sharing!

Alas, that could be it. I am very doubtful if the Ironcheffans site will ever post episodes again, and a re-airing won't happen. Whomever doesn't have the episodes saved will never see them now...

Yeah, that IS strange indeed - even stranger in that if they really cared that much, that they didn't take action sooner. I wonder if a similar fate has fallen on other Youtube posters?

The Hong Kong special would be of special interest, since Jackie Chan was a judge. Snippets of that episode can be found in some of the 1995 episodes that aired on Food Network.
I should note that although Battle Bread (1994) is on Youtube somewhere, the episode in its entirety hasn't been located (at least to my knowledge).

Wow! I had been waiting almost since I started watching the show on Food Network to see that - many thanks!

Nice to check back in on this site to see some activity. I looked for the Mr. Iron Chef 1994 special on Youtube and could not find it. Does anyone have a link?

The 1994 Mr. Iron Chef tournament is my most-desired pair of episodes, if for no other reason that Kandagawa was the star!

Ah, yes, the Hong Kong Special - one of the very few remaining episodes from ICJ that we have not had access to in the USA.
