Harvestless these two days. No response from Japanese fans about sharing videos or contents yet. Potential may be low because penetration rate of the channel to access FujiTV ONE is low. Sorry about that but I'll try to keep calling. Miwa

Tetsu, you knew Craig! Thank you so much for prodiving these epi, Craig! I'm in Japan but unfortunately, I was told by antenna supply contractor that my apartment can not put antenna to access FujiTV ONE (PPV channnel) because my apartment's location is just in too much residential concentrating place. But I'll try to call other Japanese fans if they are interest in sharing info or contents they have. Though I'm not sure at all if I can find any appropriate person. As Craig said, the fanbase & fan network in Japan is not strong... I've never found the fan community site like this board or Tuthead's site so far. (That's why I joined to this board though my English skill is not enough.) Only site I can find many Japanese fans is Iron Chef facebook but it belongs to Fuji and they check our comments always. So there is a problem with copyright if I wrote the direct link there. I'll try to find another way to get a person who can access FujiTV ONE.

Is that so ?! hahaha. Looks like Sakai is flying all over the world for culinary events. I read he called himself "flying chef" in his blog. And I checked Sakai's blog right now, and found he just wrote he's now in Thailand to take part in Iron Chef Thailand with his first apprentice, chef Kudo, the day after tomorrow! blogs.yahoo.co.jp/larochelle214

My pleasure, Tetsu. I think many people want to see vegetable and dessert battle!

Ahc, that is what mainly 2 Channel board inhabitants are hot on. (2 Channel might be a bit similar to 4 Chan for English speaking people...I guess...?? They have no name, no ID, just like ants. So...basically I don't trust them. Basically. Sorry, it's just my image.)
Personally I don't know exactly why Fuji TV bashing occurred in 2011. And also, in accordance with the rules of this board, I can't say something rather political here on behalf of only a few Japanese people. But, that being said, IN GENERAL, it is said that the reason of Fuji TV bashing & recent low ratings of each of their shows is that they haven't caught the audience's needs in the last years. (Fuji became more powerful in the age of the bubble economy. But the times have changed.)
All I can say is that it looks like the new Iron Chef show is mixed up in foolish catch-as-catch-can game of Fuji and the press (tabloid). Good show is good. It should be continued as far as many fans are supporting it. That's about it!?
Also I agree with Tuthead. A show needs time to find its groove depending on audience's needs or situation.

I requested several times at Fuji's facebook and message board, "I eager to watch a battle for seasonal vegetables or desserts as a theme ingredient, please!", and some facebook members clicked "good", though I don't know Fuji paid attention to it.... As for nominee Yamada, he is absolutely a genius Italian Chef, but he lives a life full of ups and downs. He is now trying to turn things around. Don't miss it!

Cancellation now would be a tremendous embarrassment, if not outright humiliation, for Fuji TV. Have the fans of the original series really turned against the concept of the show itself?? If so, then as someone who is part-Japanese, I would be very disappointed in the inhabitants of my ancestors' home...:-( To tell the truth, in Japan, Fuji TV bashing has heated up in the last years. That's why the press (tabloid) is enjoying controversial issue in my point of view.

Man Alive! Definitely! Fuji really should have a long-range view of the new show. We all have been worried a lot about the rumor and their situation these days but today I found something wonderful in the box of "Next On Air" at Fuji's Iron Chef official site. A big challenger will come to the next epi.! Fuji is just getting into the swings of things?? I really hope so.
Tuthead, same here, I'm glad, too, to hear that you are relieved. Please please stay motivated to keep up your site.
And, Okonomiyagi, as you said, I truly feel that original Iron Chef sounds much more respected in the states or other countries rather than home country, especially since I came to this board.... ummm

Fuji Iron Chef official site's "Next On Air" box was replaced to the new comment today. It says that the next nominee is Hiromi Yamada! Heavyweights again! (I read in a gourmet site that he is runnig an exclusive restaurant for "members only" in Tokyo now and rarely appears in front of the press. Well done, Fuji! They are just getting into the swings of things?? I really hope so. The ingredient will be cabbage! Again! He had an awesome battle with it against Chen in original series, you know... www.fujitv.co.jp/ironchef/index.html(preview video is available by clicking at the the upper right of the box.)

Maybe it's still a bit subtle and trappy. I'll keep my eyes open for more news.
