Kateyama: I think so, I can smell different aromas over here.

Hattori: Well his appetizers apear to be... some type of pickled green olives? The penne sounds delicious though. My only concern would be the fried onions and anchovies overwelming the green olive. Balanced correctly on the other hand they should blend wonderfully and give a nice nutty and savory flavor.
Mind you I am still holding out hope for a third dish. Especially since one of the current ones is an appetizer. I hate to say it but Iron Chef Kobe could be in trouble here.

Judy Wong - I'm already very impressed by Sanji-san. He doesn't waste a move, and he has so many inovative dishes. I can't wait to try them.

Like I said before, they'd both have to be perfect, and *looks at Challenger Sanji's monitor* Challenger Himura would be tough enough to beat with twenty dishes!

*hearing the time* Okay, let's start getting the final touches together.
*to assistant 1* I want you to start cooking the pasta and get that taken care of, remember do not let them in the water for too long. When you are done with that, get the ice cream out of the machine and bring it to me.
*to assistant 2* You go get everything in the fridge for the house salad back out and start rendering down some bacon strips. I want that extra crispy. When it is done, break it into peices, and start assembling the salad. Lettuce first, then tomatoes, and olives. Toss gently, then add the bacon bits. I'm serving that one to the panel myself, so don't bother putting it in the bowls. I'll get the calzones and the poppers plated.
I want this done in 15 min.

Ota- Futon-san, I'm back here with the challenger. My, my, he is quite impressive. I've never seen a challenger chef in kitchen stadium who was more of a micro-manager of food than he is. His dishes are kept so separate and protected from each other because he doesn't want any cross-contamination of flavors, that he even layers them so the stronger flavored foods are processed first. This guy could be a scientist along with his other careers. I LOVE THIS GUY!

-----POST----- This is what I get for being slow. -----END----- Finally, the penne was finished and was now going into a nice, heated pot of boiling water. "Now that's settled," Kobe began, " it's time to make the sauce portion of the dish. How are the olives in the jar coming?" An assistant barked up. "Fine. You need another pot of water?" "That would be perfect. With this out of the way, I'll get started on a third dish. I have time. Might as well try to get a trio out for the panel."

Ahh, my ice cream is here. Now I start on what I had in mind *to assistant 2* I need some milk and some green food coloring over here pronto.
*to himself* Okay, I got my calzones and my poppers plated, the house salad is ready for the panel, the ravoli is cooked and getting ready for the plates, and what I asked for is just getting here.
*to assistant 2* Okay, just what the doctor ordered. I'm going to ask you one last thing, and you can sit down, and that is look for some black plastic straws. I'll finish up.
