Kandagawa-san named IC Sakai the "Divine One" remember? It was after Chef Kandagawa lost his third challenger battle. Yes, Sakai-san is divine. He has also been called "magnificent" by Doc. Hattori. IC Sakai is these things and much more. Of course we know that Chef Sakai is so talented, so charming, has a smile that lights up the sun, is very generous and kind. He has beautiful brown eyes, lucious, thick black hair, long, slender fingers on shapely hands that create beauty in his dish preparations. IC Sakai, also known as Master Chef Sakai, is known, also, for cherishing his fans, he responds to their attention to him and he enjoys getting it. I know for a fact, information fom Mr. Katsuyama, that IC Sakai dictates his own replies to his fan mail, yep, he sure does. These are only a fraction of the reasons I adore IC Sakai. More to follow.

"The Divine One?" What a great title! IC Sakai is a chef we all can respect and learn from, his talent in the kitchen is amazing. Just seeing him peel an apple amazes me! And, he has such a humble spirit, he always congratulates the challenger when he loses. He is a very sweet, and humble person. And that is why we all love him so much!

From reading the short bio on IC Sakai in the book, I get the impression that he really had no great mentor, he was just good at chefery from the beginning and had an intense interest in learning, so he learned all he could and perfected his skills on his own, and what a perfect IC he is.

Would be nice if someone put out a monthly sort of news sheet on what IC Sakai is doing, i.e., where he is appearing, what days he is at his restaurants, where we can purchase his products, what products he sponsors, etc. I have sent two e-mails to Mr. Katsuyama this past month with lots of questions but have not heard back yet. It takes time sometimes. I have faith that eventually I will hear something. Of course I will keep writing.

Yes, you're right. We need to send e-mails to him complaining, whining, begging, whatever it takes to let him know we "demand" stuff! He is always sooooo busy, but we have to keep reminding him we are here and we want NEWS, information, attention. Send an e-mail to: katsuyama.c@la-rochelle.co.jp Ask him why chefsakai.com is not being updated; what is IC Sakai doing now, and in the near future, is he planning to come back to the states soon, how about new restaurants in the states. Ask any question you can think of, with regard to Sakai-san. Remember, yours truly has and will continue to write, also. Don't forget to send your love and best wishes.

Maybe Sakai-San, just wants some privacy, and time to himself right now....

Actually, Sakai-san wants to be in the spotlight. He enjoys it very much. If you recall, he stated that he wanted to be wealthy. I'm happy to contribute to making him wealthy because he is so fantastic. The more appearances, new restaurants, etc., he has that lead to this end, the happier he is. I don't mind sharing him with the world. I, for one, am willing to contibute this this end. I sincerly think that the more we advertise for him, the more we contribute to his desires. I do want to make him the happiest, and I do, SINCERLEY believe that Sakai should be wealthy because he shares with others.
